Therapy for deep feelers

Connection- it’s what we are all looking for.

Connection with ourselves. Connection with others. But how do we achieve that in a world that constantly forces us to disconnect in order to survive? To numb out, to run from conflict, to judge, to avoid our vulnerability. Our vulnerability is what makes us beautiful. Let’s get back to that beauty.

What if for one day we could let ourselves just be? To feel everything. To let the feelings move through us and trust we’ll survive them. What if we could give ourselves permission to go inward instead of focusing on the external world. To understand who we are is more than just the collection of roles we’ve acquired along the way.

therapy won’t take away the pain of being human. it will help you learn to sit in the pain and hold yourself with loving kindness.

Mary Mahoney, LCSW

My therapy practice embodies the ways I want to live and be in the world. Striving to honor my needs while holding the needs of others, learning to move toward conflict in ways that feel safe, daily awareness of how I attach meaning to people and situations, sitting in the discomfort and joy of my story. All the things that help me stay connected to my friends, family, and clients.

I have 10+ years experience as a therapist and bring a deep understanding of non-monogamous and LGBTQIA+ communities. All of my techniques are trauma-informed and practiced with gentleness and care. I use she/her pronouns or anything gender neutral.

“Honest, raw, and charged...The Doulas is part memoir, part how-to manual, and part political treatise...It’s a well-crafted, comprehensive, and compelling mix.” - Rewire

“Full-spectrum doula work is genius. The stories in this incredible book show what we can achieve when we put reproductive rights first.” - Cecile Richards, former President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America
